Like any injection-based procedure, treatment with Kybella will cause some pain. Additional painful side effects from the product, like burning, swelling, tenderness, or itching may also occur during and after treatment. You may suffer from painful swelling under the chin for days, or even weeks. Because everyone is different, it’s hard to predict how long side effects will last for you. This is not a comprehensive list of side effects.
The treatment process is a series of injections that is done in-office and is very short—taking only 15-20 minutes. There’s no general anesthesia. After treatment, you can simply walk out of the office.
Most will see results within 4 to 6 weeks.
You can have up to six treatments, spaced one month apart. The number of treatments depends on your results and your specific needs. We’ll work with you and monitor your results to determine the perfect number of treatments for the best possible results.
Kybella destroys fat cells. Once destroyed, they can’t come back. If you’re happy with your results, you shouldn’t need to return for additional treatments.
